“Currently, I am going on my 12th month of training with Jaiya and my life has changed with his guidance, persistence and support. Jaiya’s training and philosophies have given me a new found confidence and a lifestyle change. What can I say, I’m addicted to exercise and being healthy! My only advice to any one who is on the path to a new you is be patient, be consistent and hang in there! For me it took only three months. What’s three months compared to a lifetime? Back when I started working out with Jaiya I was at the lowest point in my life both mentally and physically. My whole life I had been active with sports and activities but in the years prior to my starting with Jaiya I ballooned up! I was the heaviest I had ever been in my life. I wasn’t taking care of myself by exercising or eating right. A night out at the local club cocktailing it with my friends was much more appealing than lifting dumbbells. I began working out with Jaiya in November, 2005. Jaiya designed an eating plan for me that is extremely easy to follow and I never felt hungry. Oh, don’t forget the water, it cures everything! Let me tell you it wasn’t easy by any means but mentally I was ready for the change. I was working out three times a week and my body was sore, like never before, but it felt great! Around the three month mark is when I began to notice my body changing significantly. It was as if one day I woke up and my body had completely changed. My body was becoming more toned and I was losing inches all over my body. A new confidence had also come over me and showed. Mentally I was physically fit as well! I remember having two pairs of what I would call “skinny” jeans in my closet. You know the ones that you used to be able to wear and were saving for “some day”. Well that some day arrived about 6 months into my training. At the six month mark I had lost 40 pounds and dropped three sizes in clothing. I’m a new me and it shows both physically and mentally. A good friend had introduced me to Jaiya’s training program at a time in my life where I was looking for athletic stability. I had trained here and there in the years preceding but never made a commitment to myself as I have now. I have enjoyed sports such as skydiving, ground launching and sport bike racing. Being a part of these activities visually as a photographer and physically as a participant I immediately became fascinated by the human body navigating through space. Pushing the nature of the human extension beyond boundaries and limits I came to a place where balance and focus play an important role in the exploration of absolute space. “Once I allowed myself to commit and found time to workout three times a week, I felt great! A one hour workout in a day speaks volumes to a better balance to just feeling better. Working out made me prioritize my time to let go of the few hours from work and shift them to work out just three times a week. I have seen significant results in just three months. Seeing those physical changes is a motivation in itself. Before I started this program I was mentally strong with my career and not enough time for me personally. I felt tired after work and never had enough time to eat regularly. Working 10-11 hours a day while commuting 4 hours a day left little time for much else.
